CNC Machining Surface Finishes

Surface finishing is a processing that can change the finished part's surface to specific color, appearance, property. It gives the finished part different properties of resistance to corrosion, hardness, conductivity, etc. that out of the material itself.

High-gloss Polishing

The final part surface reflects light like a mirror. All machining marks disappear completely.

Anodizing

A dense oxide film forms on the surface of the metal CNC part. The color can be customized. Hardness and corrosion resistance improve significantly.

Powder Coating

The CNC part receives a thick, textured or glossy plastic-like layer. It feels warm to the touch and the colors appear vivid.

Electroplating

The surface of the CNC machined part becomes a metallic coating, such as bright nickel or chrome. It shows a highly reflective metallic luster and resists corrosion better.

EMI Shielding Coating

The workpiece surface receives a thin, electrically conductive layer. It provides electromagnetic shielding function. Its appearance looks similar to spray painting.

Laser Etching

Uses a laser beam to create permanent surface markings like text, serial numbers, or logos. High precision, no ink needed.

UV Finish

A UV-curable clear coating that improves wear resistance and surface gloss. Often used in high-end plastic finishes.

Silk Screen

A printing process where ink is pushed through a mesh stencil onto the surface. Common for logos, labels, or part markings.
